Kate invites Southport stabbing survivors to Christmas carol concert
Saturday, 23 November 2024 The Princess of Wales has invited children who survived the stabbing attack in Southport to her annual Christmas carol concert.
Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, is now in remission after being diagnosed with cancer last year. Middleton shared her cancer diagnosis and that she had been undergoing chemotherapy in March 2024. After tentatively returning to a couple of royal engagements in the last few months, including the royal family's Christmas outing, Middleton said on Instagram Tuesday that she is now in remission.

Elsie's mother, Jenni Stancombe, said, "If we had been there this wouldn't have happened".

Prime Minister Keir Starmer has said Britain faces a "new and dangerous threat" in light of the Southport attack in July 2024. Speaking a day after Axel Rudakubana, 18, pleaded guilty to murdering three young girls at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class, Starmer warned of the rising threat of 'extreme violence perpetrated by loners, misfits, young men accessing all manner of material'.
