Zafaryab Jilani, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) secretary who represented the Muslim side in the protracted legal battle over the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute, died at a Lucknow hospital on Wednesday after a prolonged illness.
