Assam CM's wife files 10 crore defamation case against Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's wife, Riniki Bhuyan Sarma, has filed a defamation case against Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi for false allegations of irregularities in a food processing project. Gogoi had claimed that Riniki Bhuyan's company received a Rs 10 crore grant from the central government. In response, Riniki Bhuyan Sharma stated that the allegations were meant to defame an Assamese enterprise led by a woman entrepreneur.
