'Continuous interference': S Jaishankar on why India asked Canadian diplomats to leave
Jaishankar has reiterated the country's concerns about "continuous interference" by Canadian diplomats in internal affairs. This comes after India expelled 41 Canadian diplomats amid a row between the two countries. Canada had reacted strongly, saying India violated international norms. Jaishankar stated that diplomatic parity is provided for by the Vienna Convention and that India is likely to resume issuing visas to Canadians if the safety of Indian diplomats in Canada improves. He also mentioned that India has problems with certain segments of Canadian politics.
