High-flying Nairs first couple to both get Air Marshal rank in Indian Air Force

Air Marshal Sadhna Saxena Nair and her husband Air Marshal K P Nair have become the first and only Air Marshal couple in the Indian Air Force (IAF). Sadhna Nair, a doctor, was recently promoted to the rank of Air Marshal and took over as the director-general of hospital services. She is also the second woman officer in the IAF to be promoted to the rank of Air Marshal. The Nairs come after the Kanitkars, who became the first couple to achieve the rank of three-star officers in the armed forces in 2020.
