Punjab kabaddi players kill cop over bill row

A police head constable in Punjab was fatally injured while trying to stop four kabaddi players from vandalizing an eatery over their food bill. The constable fell and hit his head on a blunt object during the assault. The suspects are currently on the run. The Chief Minister of Punjab has announced an ex gratia payment of ₹1 crore to the constable's family. In a separate incident, a kabaddi player and political candidate was attacked by unidentified gunmen in Moga district.
