Gujarat HC judges spar openly in courtroom, one leaves in huff

Differences of opinion on a two-judge Gujarat high court bench took an acrimonious turn on Monday when the presiding member openly sparred and ticked off the other before retiring to his chamber in a huff. The discord flared during a hearing on taxation-related cases, with a senior member of the Gujarat high court advocates' association (GHAA) calling it "rare". During the hearing, the senior judge expressed dissatisfaction with the junior judge's conduct, particularly her tendency to disagree with his viewpoint.
