Talks on with rebel group to bring it back to mainstream: Manipur CM

Manipur CM N Biren Singh announced on Tuesday that active negotiations are underway with a specific group of insurgents to reintegrate them into the mainstream, but didn't disclose details of the discussions that he said were progressing nicely. "It is still too early to divulge information to the public about the talks," he told reporters at an event in Imphal East district. According to sources, the group expected to reach a peace agreement with the government is believed to be a prominent Imphal Valley-based organization.
