Tuesday, 10 September 2024 Since September 1, Manipur has seen renewed violence leading to an indefinite curfew in three districts and internet blockades in five. Student protests against administrative failures resulted in clashes with police. Additional CRPF battalions have been deployed as authorities blame social media for spreading misinformation and inciting unrest. Imphal East, Imphal West and Thoubal are the valley districts under curfew.
