Union Home Minister Amit Shah has announced that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is voted to power in the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections, the next chief minister will be from a backward caste. The BJP is strategically working to unseat the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi led by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. The elections are scheduled to be held on November 30, with the counting of votes on December 3. The contest will be between the BJP, BRS, and the Congress.
