Marathas with Kunbi antecedents from across state to get Kunbi (OBC) certificates
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said on Thursday that the government had conceded Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange Patil’s demand to provide Kunbi (OBC) caste certificates for Marathas from across the state with documents of their Kunbi antecedents. Till now, the government had agreed to this only for the Marathwada region. Shinde also said that cases of a non-serious nature against the protesters would be withdrawn. He said Jarange Patil had given the government two months’ time till January 2, 2024 and the state was committed to providing a Maratha quota which would be legal and lasting.
