Over 700 girls studying in a government school in Jharkhand's Chatra district have been forced to eat and drink minimally to avoid using toilets outside the school. The Swami Vivekanand Higher Secondary School has no toilets after the contractor assigned to renovate them demolished the existing ones without providing alternatives. The school has 1,100 students, and even male teachers and students face difficulties. The district authorities and the state education department have been informed but have not provided immediate relief.
