Use of GPS trackers on terrorists out on bail to help curb narco-smuggling, terror-funding, terrorist activities: J&K DGP

IndiaTimes Monday, 6 November 2023
The Jammu and Kashmir Police have started using GPS-tracking anklets on terrorists out on bail to monitor their activities and curb narco-smuggling and terrorist activities. The anklets will allow the police to track whether the individuals are meeting anyone to collect illegal items or funds and whether they are in contact with active terrorists. The move comes after a suspected Hizbul Mujahideen operative was granted bail with the condition of wearing a GPS tracker.
