West Bengal school jobs scam: TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee appears before ED; submits documents
Thursday, 9 November 2023 Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and submitted a reply along with supporting documents in relation to an ongoing probe into an alleged school jobs scam in West Bengal. Banerjee stated that he has nothing to hide and is willing to cooperate with the agency. The ED will decide whether to summon Banerjee again after reviewing the submitted documents. The CPM has called the summons an "eyewash." Abhishek Banerjee also showed support for party MP Mahua Moitra, who is facing allegations of cash-for-questions.
