Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel criticized the assault on BJP leader Brijmohan Agrawal, saying that calling someone a 'goon' in front of Agrawal is an insult to the word itself. Agrawal, a seven-term MLA, alleged that he was assaulted while campaigning in his constituency. Baghel stated that the incident suggests Agrawal's lagging popularity in the elections. Agrawal claimed the attackers were aides of a Congress leader.
