The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) of basing its inquiry against Delhi minister Satyendar Jain solely on the statement of Sukesh Chandrasekhar, whom they refer to as the "biggest thug and conman of India." The AAP denies any association or transaction between Jain and Chandrasekhar. The CBI has sought permission from the Lieutenant Governor to investigate Jain for allegedly extorting money from high-profile prisoners, including Chandrasekhar.
