India's defence forces will soon have long-range cruise missiles of the Nirbhay class, developed by the DRDO, in their arsenal. These subsonic missiles with a range of over 1,000 km will be complemented by the supersonic BrahMos cruise missiles, providing commanders with more options during conflicts. The missiles will also be part of the rocket force being created by the Indian defence forces. Additionally, the forces are considering inducting medium-range ballistic missiles for conventional roles and are planning to conduct a long-range test of the BrahMos cruise missiles in the near future.
