Digvijaya Singh's sit-in agitation enters 2nd day to demand BJP candidate's arrest in murder case

IndiaTimes Sunday, 19 November 2023
Congress leader Digvijaya Singh is continuing his sit-in protest outside a police station in Chhatarpur, demanding the arrest of a BJP candidate accused of murdering a Congress worker during the state assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh. Singh has warned of a state-wide agitation if action is not taken. Singh and other Congress leaders stayed overnight in a tent outside the police station. The BJP claims the worker's death was an accident, but Singh insists it was a murder. The police have registered a case against the BJP candidate and others, but no arrests have been made yet.
