Valuables at Jagannath temple stolen

Unidentified criminals stole Rs 16,000 in cash, a sound system, pen drives and decoration items from a room at the famous Jagannath temple in Dhurwa police station area in Ranchi district of Jharkhand on Monday night, reports Sanjay Sahay. Sources said this is the first such theft in the over 300-year-old temple. Police said the CCTV camera footage showed a boy entering the room after breaking the window grilles and stealing the valuables, adding that several slum settlements near the temple have been raided to apprehend the culprit.
