Tuesday, 21 November 2023 An SUV speeding at 150 kmph allegedly knocked down the 10-year-old son of a senior police officer, killing him on the spot on G20 road near Janeshwar Mishra Park, in Gomtinagar Extension, at 5.30 am on Tuesday. The two accused, who were racing their car down the same road before sunrise, have been arrested. Shweta Srivastava, a Provincial Police Service (PPS) officer, is posted with the special investigation team (SIT) and was walking along with her son Namish, who was skating when he was fatally knocked down.

In a devastating road accident today, at least 18 people lost their lives and many others were injured after the bus they were travelling in collided with another vehicle in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh. Among the deceased were three women and one child, police reported. The double-decker bus, which was en route from Bihar’s Sitamarhi to Delhi, crashed into a milk tanker from behind on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway early this morning. The force of the collision was immense, causing several passengers to be flung out of the bus, police stated.
