99.2 per cent of mobiles 'Made in India': Ashwini Vaishnav reviews meteoric growth of Indian mobile sector

Indian mobile industry experiences exponential growth, expanding 20 times in 9 years. In 2014, 78% of mobile market relied on imports, but now 99.2% of all mobiles sold in India are 'Made in India'. Minister Vaishnav met with industry leaders to review progress and discuss strategies for sustained growth. The success of the mobile sector has reduced India's dependence on foreign imports. This achievement aligns with the 'Make in India' and 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' initiatives, showcasing India's capability in mobile manufacturing.
