Dalit boy thrashed, forced to drink urine in UP village
Sunday, 26 November 2023 A teenaged Dalit boy was allegedly assaulted, forced to drink urine, and his eyebrows shaved by at least two men from his village under Sujanganj police station in Uttar Pradeshβs Jaunpur district on Thursday. Following the directives of Jaunpur SP Ajay Pal Sharma, the boy was sent for a medical examination on Friday and an FIR was lodged against two men on Saturday. The medical tests will also determine if the boy is a minor, said police. They confirmed that an FIR against the boy had been lodged.

In a devastating road accident today, at least 18 people lost their lives and many others were injured after the bus they were travelling in collided with another vehicle in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh. Among the deceased were three women and one child, police reported. The double-decker bus, which was en route from Biharβs Sitamarhi to Delhi, crashed into a milk tanker from behind on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway early this morning. The force of the collision was immense, causing several passengers to be flung out of the bus, police stated.
