Prime Minister Modi to attend climate action summit at COP28 in Dubai on December 1

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the World Climate Action Summit (WCAS) during the 28th session of the UN climate conference (COP28) in Dubai. He will pitch for tripling renewable energy capacity by 2030, scaling up climate finance, and Mission LiFE. Modi will also visit India's pavilion showcasing efforts to address climate change. COP28 will conclude the first ever global stocktake and may adopt the mechanism for 'loss and damage' funds. Environment minister Bhupender Yadav will also attend COP28.
