Under constant fear of Pakistan shelling, border residents push for bridge near international border in Jammu
Forward Trava villagers in Jammu district fear shelling by Pakistan and demand a permanent bridge for safe evacuation. A BSF jawan was killed in firing, causing panic among the border residents. The proposed bridge, beyond shelling range, would connect over 20 villages and provide a lifeline for vulnerable people during cross-border firing. The administration has been urged to prioritize the construction of the bridge, with hopes that the Rural Development Department will start the work soon.
