Open up judicial career to all like civil services: President Draupadi Murmu

President Draupadi Murmu advocates for the creation of All India Judicial Services to open up the judiciary to talented youth from various educational backgrounds. This initiative would provide an opportunity for students studying management and engineering, among other streams, to pursue a career in the judiciary. The President emphasizes the importance of diversity in democracy and believes that nurturing these talented individuals in the judiciary would strengthen the justice delivery system. Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud affirms the Supreme Court's commitment to being a people's court, exemplified by its decisive actions in various areas like abolition of bonded labor and prevention of sexual harassment.
