Wednesday, 29 November 2023 Over 2,500 passengers of two express trains were left stranded at Burhwal junction of Barabanki district in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, after staff of one of the trains said the duty hours were over, while other train's loco pilot claimed uneasiness. The incident happened with Saharsa - New Delhi Special Fare Chhath Puja Special (04021) and Barauni-Lucknow Junction express (15203). Hours later, north eastern railway (NER) dispatched staff from Gonda junction to attend the two express trains to calm down the situation.

In a devastating road accident today, at least 18 people lost their lives and many others were injured after the bus they were travelling in collided with another vehicle in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh. Among the deceased were three women and one child, police reported. The double-decker bus, which was en route from Biharβs Sitamarhi to Delhi, crashed into a milk tanker from behind on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway early this morning. The force of the collision was immense, causing several passengers to be flung out of the bus, police stated.
