Counting in 90 assembly constituencies begins in Chhattisgarh

Counting of votes begins in Chhattisgarh for the 90 assembly constituencies. The fate of 1181 candidates, including 155 women and one third gender candidate, will be determined. The counting process is being conducted under heavy security. The composition of the new assembly is expected to be clear by 2.30 pm. Notable candidates include Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Deputy Chief Minister T S Singhdeo. Results of each constituency's rounds will be available on the Election Commission's website.
