IndiaTimes Tuesday, 5 December 2023
RJD vice president Shivanand Tiwary has been sentenced to one year in prison and fined Rs one lakh by a Patna court in a criminal defamation suit filed by Bihar minister Sanjay Kumar Jha. Tiwary, a former state minister, was granted provisional bail and has 30 days to appeal. Jharkhand Assembly Poll Results: Find out what factors decided the previous government of Jharkhand

The previous Jharkhand Assembly elections were decided by a mix of socio-economic and political factors that resonated deeply with the state's voters. Key issues included tribal welfare, unemployment, rural development, and land rights, which became decisive in swaying public opinion. The JMM-Congress-RJD alliance successfully leveraged its tribal connect and promises of inclusive governance, securing significant support from rural and marginalised communities. Meanwhile, the BJP's focus on development projects and infrastructure faced backlash from anti-incumbency sentiments and dissatisfaction over economic policies. #jharkhandelection #maharashtraelectionresult2024 #electionresults2024 #votecounting #liveresults #liveelectionresults #assemblyelectionresult #jharkhandresult #jharkhandelectionresult #jharkhandelectionresultlive #jharkhandelection2024 #electionresults #brekingnews #maharashtraelection2024 #livenews ~HT.318~PR.152~ED.103~GR.121~

Jharkhand Exit Polls 2024: NDA Holds Edge In Close Fight With JMM+, Predicts Poll Of Polls

The exit polls for Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024 suggest a neck-and-neck contest, with the NDA slightly ahead of the JMM+ alliance. The Bharatiya Janata Party-led NDA appears to have made gains in key regions, but the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-Congress-RJD alliance remains a formidable contender. The predictions indicate a tough battle, with both sides vying for a majority in the 81-member assembly. While the NDA is banking on its development narrative and anti-incumbency sentiment, the JMM+ alliance relies on its strong tribal voter base and welfare schemes #jharkhandexitpollresults #exitpollresults #jharkhandexitpoll2024 #jharkhandelection2024 #jharkhandexitpoll #jharkhandelectionexitpoll #exitpoll #jharkhandelectionresult #exitpoll2024 #exitpoll2024live #electionsresults #bjp #congress #exitpollwithoneindia #jmm ~HT.178~PR.152~ED.103~GR.344~
