LeT man who plotted attacks on CRPF, BSF convoys killed in Pakistan
Wednesday, 6 December 2023 Adnan Ahmed, a top-ranking LeT commander, was killed in Karachi by unidentified gunmen. He was involved in a series of attacks on security convoys in the Valley. Hanzala coordinated the terrorist attack on a CRPF convoy in Pampore in 2016. He had shifted his base from Rawalpindi to Karachi in 2020 and was involved in the campaign programs of Milli Muslim League. Hanzala provided financial support to terrorists and over-ground workers through cross-LoC trade.

The Bannu military cantonment in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, located over 330 km east of Islamabad, came under a severe attack early on Monday (July 15). The assault, reportedly led by several suicide bombers, resulted in a prolonged gunbattle with security forces. The militant group Jaish Fursan-e-Muhammad, a faction of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) led by Hafiz Gul Bahadur, claimed responsibility for the attack. According to Pakistani state media, the incident began when the assailants attempted to breach the cantonment’s security perimeter with an explosive-laden vehicle.

The Shehbaz Sharif-led government in Pakistan has decided to ban the jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, the country's Information Minister announced on Monday. The PTI is Pakistan's largest opposition party. Attaullah Tarar, the Pakistani Minister for Information and Broadcasting, announced in a press conference that the decision to ban the PTI was made due to alleged anti-state activities. The case will be referred to the Supreme Court, according to Pakistani media.

In the aftermath of the Reasi terror attack, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited the injured pilgrims, providing them with comfort and support. The attack, which occurred on Sunday, involved terrorists opening fire on a bus carrying pilgrims, resulting in the bus veering off the road and falling into a deep gorge. Tragically, nine lives were lost and 37 others were injured in the incident. Sinha revealed that the bus driver was specifically targeted by the terrorists. In response, the police, CRPF, and army have launched a hunt operation to apprehend the perpetrators.
