India fastest-growing economy, second-quarter growth highest in world: Sitharaman in Rajya Sabha

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stated that India's second-quarter growth is the highest in the world, with the country continuing to be the fastest-growing economy. She addressed the Rajya Sabha's debate on the economic situation, refuting allegations that the government was unwilling to hold discussions on the economy. Sitharaman highlighted that India's GDP growth for the July-September quarter was 7.6%, while the April-June quarter grew at 7.8%. She also mentioned that India's merchandise export increased by 6.21% to $33.57 billion in October.
