J&K cop injured in terror attack in Oct dies at AIIMS-Delhi

A J&K police inspector, Masroor Ahmad Wani, injured in a terrorist attack in Srinagar six weeks ago, succumbed to injuries at AIIMS in Delhi. The attack was carried out by Basit Dar, associated with the 'Falcon Squad' of Lashkar-e-Taiba. The terrorist fired at Wani at close range while he was playing cricket off-duty. Wani's sacrifice strengthens J&K Police's resolve to combat terrorism. Wani had served as an SHO at various police stations and was associated with the special operations group of J&K Police.
