Moitra to have her say before LS takes up her disqualification matter

IndiaTimes Thursday, 7 December 2023
Trinamool Congress member Mahua Moitra will defend herself on Friday as Lok Sabha discusses the ethics committee's report recommending her disqualification from the House over cash-for-query charges. Speaker Om Birla informed TMC's leader in the House Sudip Bandyopadhyay that Moitra's case would be taken up on Friday noon. The opposition requested a discussion in the House, to which the Speaker agreed to allot half-an-hour. The INDIA bloc will boycott the voting on the resolution to expel Moitra and stage a walkout, protesting against the disqualification.
