Mookerjee's dream of integrating J&K comes true

IndiaTimes Monday, 11 December 2023
The Supreme Court's decision to affirm the annulment of Article 370 was a significant victory for the BJP. The party witnessed the realization of one of its oldest and foundational commitments shortly after returning to power in 2019. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, protesting against the permit system under Article 370, had resigned from the Nehru ministry and established his own political entity, Jan Sangh. The party's rallying cry, "Nahi chalenge ek desh mein do vidhan, do pradhan aur do nishan," became a guiding principle for BJP cadres as they steadfastly pursued their goal of repealing Article 370.
