Vishnu Deo Sai assumes office as Chhattisgarh CM; Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma sworn-in as deputy CMs
Vishnu Deo Sai sworn in as the chief minister of Chhattisgarh along with his deputies Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma. The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Prime minister Narendra Modi, home minister Amit Shah, and chief ministers of other states including Yogi Adityanath and Hemanta Biswa Sharma. Sai, known for his grassroots connection, was elected from the Kunkuri constituency and is considered close to former Chief Minister Raman Singh. Sao, a member of the Sahu community, was elected as the deputy chief minister and could be assigned the Home department.
