In a setback to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Gujarat, its MLA Bhupendra Bhayani tendered his resignation to assembly speaker Shankar Chaudhary on Wednesday and said that he will be joining BJP soon. With this, the number of AAP MLAs in the Gujarat assembly has reduced from five to four. Bhayani was elected MLA from Visavadar constituency in Junagadh. In his one-line resignation letter, Bhayani did not mention the reason behind his decision. Gujarat assembly secretary DM Patel said, “The speaker has accepted Bhayani’s resignation.”
