Won't fight polls, will toil for BJD: Naveen Patnaik's aide VK Pandian

VK Pandian, Naveen Patnaik's trusted aide, announced that he will not contest the 2024 Lok Sabha or assembly elections. He expressed his commitment to support Naveen Patnaik and the BJD in all 147 assembly seats. Pandian praised Naveen Patnaik's leadership and the opportunity to work closely with him. He emphasized his dedication to strengthening the party and helping the state's development. The BJD state executive also discussed pressing issues such as seeking special focus state status for Odisha, enhancement in coal royalty, and waiver of GST from kendu leaf.
