Chhattisgarh: CRPF jawan killed, another injured in encounter with Naxalites in Sukma district

A sub-inspector of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) lost his life and a constable was reported injured in an encounter with Naxalites on Sunday in the Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. According to police, the incident took place when a team of the CRPF's 165th battalion was out on an anti-Naxal operation. The anti-Naxal operation was launched at 7 am from Bedre camp and the incident occurred under Jagargunda police station area. As per an official, sub-inspector Sudhakar Reddy was killed and constable Ramu sustained bullet injuries when an exchange of fire broke out with Naxalites.
