Opposition MPs move notices seeking discussion on Parliament security breach
Monday, 18 December 2023 Opposition MPs in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have given notices seeking a discussion on the recent breach in Parliament security. They are demanding a statement from Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Congress Lok Sabha MP Manish Tewari has given an Adjournment Motion notice, while DMK MP T Siva has moved a Suspension of Business notice. The security breach occurred on the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament terror attack when two people jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber, released gas, and shouted slogans. Four individuals involved in the breach have been sent to custody.
