Rains, floods cripple southern Tamil Nadu; hundreds of passengers stranded

The four southern districts of Chennai, Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, and Thoothukudi were overwhelmed by the unprecedented rainfall, resulting in the death of three people. Rescue efforts, including the use of boats, were ongoing in flooded areas, and food was provided to over 50,000 affected individuals.
