NIA busts Ballari-based IS module, arrests 8 during raids in 4 states

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) busted a Ballari-based terror module of banned global outfit Islamic State (IS), arresting eight 'highly radicalised' operatives, including the head of the module. The operatives were planning to carry out terror strikes, particularly Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blasts. They were also involved in radicalisation and recruitment of youths into IS ranks. The arrests followed raids across four states. The seized materials included explosive raw materials and incriminating documents.
