Cops seek 3 more months to complete NewsClick probe

Delhi Police's special cell has moved an application before the court seeking an extension of time to complete its investigation in the case against NewsClick under the UAPA. The police stated that the investigation is taking time due to voluminous documents, evidence, and the need for judicial orders for questioning potential witnesses. The special cell had arrested NewsClick founder Prabir Purkayastha and HR head Anil Chakraborty on the charge of illegally receiving foreign donations to spread pro-China propaganda.
