CISF earns Rs 16 crore via consultancy services: Government

IndiaTimes Tuesday, 19 December 2023
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has generated a revenue of Rs 16 crore by providing technical consultancy to 228 private and public sector industrial establishments, the home ministry told Lok Sabha on Tuesday. In a written reply to a question, junior home minister Nityanand Rai denied any plan to initiate CISF into taking up international security consultancy. It is "not under consideration at present," he said. Rai said the fee charged by CISF is calculated on the basis of expenditure incurred on the board of officers conducting the consultancy, plus contingency charges.
