Second successive day of ruckus in Jharkhand assembly over suspension of BJP MLAs

The Jharkhand assembly witnessed uproarious scenes for the second consecutive day as members of the opposition BJP protested against the suspension of three party legislators. Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto suspended Chief Whip Biranchi Narayan, Whip J P Patel, and legislator Bhanu Pratap Sahi for the remainder of the winter session. BJP legislators wore black bands on their faces and sat in the well of the House, demanding revocation of the suspension. Amid noisy scenes, the question hour was washed out and the proceedings were adjourned.
