In Jharkhand's Garhwa district, a Naxal associated with the banned Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP) was apprehended, named Manoj Ram. He was implicated in a skirmish between police and JJMP militants on December 17, resulting in injuries to a police station in-charge. The arrest, made in the Ranka police station area, led to the confiscation of five rifles, including an INSAS rifle, and several cartridges.
