Two students at the forefront of the campaign for the hijab's restoration threw their lot behind Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah on Saturday, expressing hope the ban will eventually be lifted and they will be able to complete studies. Mandya's Muskan, who swung into the spotlight during the hijab furore, referred to the Congress CM's latest remarks on the issue. "It has given me hope that I can return to college," Muskan said. The degree student quit studies after the state's previous BJP government banned the hijab in schools and colleges last year.
