IndiaTimes Sunday, 24 December 2023
Three Maoists were gunned down by security forces in Dantewada district on Sunday, say police. A large quantity of explosives was seized. The forces have stepped up anti-Maoist operations after a string of recent IED blasts and ambushes that killed three jawans and injured seven. Several skirmishes have happened since CM Vishnu Deo Sai ordered intensification of ops, with police saying that they managed to hit at least eight insurgents but couldn't nab anyone. This time, three bodies, in PLGA uniform, were found.
