BJP MLA Nitesh Rane demands removal of officer in Disha Salian SIT

IndiaTimes Tuesday, 26 December 2023
BJP MLA Nitesh Rane has written to the Special Commissioner of Police demanding the removal of Senior Police Inspector Chimaji Adhav from the SIT investigating the Disha Salian death case. Rane alleged that Adhav conducted a fake probe and closed the case as an accident. The state home department has ordered a revised probe into Salian's death. Rane stated that Adhav's inclusion in the SIT violates an HC order and renders the SIT illegal. Rane requested Adhav's immediate removal from the SIT.
