How India plans to counter attacks on commercial ships

Defence minister Rajnath Singh, at the commissioning of INS Imphal, vowed to take tough action against the perpetrators of the drone attacks on merchant navy ships MV Chem Pluto and MV Sai Baba. He emphasized India's commitment to maritime security in the Indian Ocean Region. The Indian Navy has increased surveillance on the sea to find those responsible for the attacks, even from the seabed. Singh highlighted the increasing turbulence in the seas due to India's growing economic and strategic power, which has sparked jealousy and animosity.
