The central government declares Muslim League Jammu Kashmir (MLJK-MA) led by Masarat Alam Bhat, the mastermind behind the 2010 stone-pelting protests in Kashmir, as an 'unlawful association'. Party aims to free Kashmir from India, merge it with Pak, & establish Islamic rule. The govt states that MLJK-MA is involved in anti-national activities, supporting terrorism, & propagating a false narrative. Masarat Alam, protege of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, has been under the preventive detention since 2010.
