Manipur firing: One more injured dies; death toll rises to 5

Another individual succumbed to injuries sustained in the gunfire orchestrated by a prohibited organization in the Lilong Chingjao area of Thoubal district, Manipur. Hospital authorities confirmed the fatality, bringing the total casualties from the incident to five. The deceased was among the ten individuals wounded during the People's Liberation Army (PLA) cadres' firing on Monday night. All victims were receiving medical care at a private hospital in Imphal. On Monday, four others lost their lives in the same incident. Government officials asserted that the shooting was a consequence of a disagreement related to funds generated from illicit drug trade.
